Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups milk dairy or non-dairy
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • Pinch black pepper

Optional:

  • 1 tbsp coconut oil or ghee
  • 1 tsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch cardamom or nutmeg

Instructions
 

  • Pour the milk into a saucepan and warm over medium heat (do not boil).
  • Whisk in turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, and black pepper.
  • Simmer gently for 5–8 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Add honey or maple syrup to taste.
  • Strain through a fine mesh sieve for a smoother texture, if desired.
  • For extra creaminess, use a blender or milk frother.
  • Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Start with 1/2 tsp turmeric if you're new to it and gradually increase.
Use oat milk or canned coconut milk for extra creaminess.
Store leftovers in the fridge up to 4 days and reheat gently.
Make a spice blend or golden milk paste in advance for convenience.
