This Kid Friendly, Healthier Spinach Feta Turkey Burger Recipe doesn’t compromise on intense flavors like spinach and feta cheese! These burgers are juicy, flavorful, and come together in just 20 minutes.
Toppings of choicee.g., sliced tomatoes, red onion, cucumber slices, tzatziki sauce
Instructions
Chop the spinach finely to avoid large leaves spilling out.
In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, chopped spinach, feta cheese, egg, garlic, breadcrumbs, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix gently — do not overmix.
Form the mixture into 4 patties, slightly larger than your buns to allow for shrinkage while cooking.
Heat a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook patties for 5-6 minutes per side until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
Let the burgers rest for 2-3 minutes before serving to allow juices to redistribute.
Notes
Avoid flattening burgers during cooking to keep them juicy. Use 93/7 ground turkey for moisture; very lean turkey can dry out the burgers. These can be served with whole wheat buns or over a salad for a lighter meal. Raw patties can be refrigerated for 1 day or frozen for up to 3 months with parchment paper between patties. Cooked burgers store well for 3-4 days in the fridge.
