  • 2 tablespoons Active dry yeast
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar To help activate the yeast.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil

Filling

  • 1 cup Cooked sausage Ensure the sausage is fully cooked.
  • 1 cup Shredded cheese Substitute with mozzarella or cheddar for varied taste.
  • 1 large Egg For egg wash.

Prepare the Dough

  • In a bowl, mix warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit until it's foamy.
  • Combine flour and salt in a large bowl. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil.
  • Knead the dough until it's smooth, then let it rise until doubled in size.

Form the Buns

  • Roll out the dough and cut it into squares.
  • Fill each square with cooked sausage and cheese.
  • Shape them into flower buns and let them rise again.

Bake

  • Brush the buns with egg wash and bake until golden.

Notes
