Serving mug
- 1 cup good-quality prune juice 100% pure, no additives
- 1 –2 tablespoons real butter unsalted preferred
Optional:
- 1 teaspoon raw honey to taste
- Tiny pinch of fresh grated ginger
- Pinch of sea salt
Warm the Juice: Pour prune juice into a small pot and heat on low. Do not boil. Heat for 3–4 minutes until hot like bath water.
Add Butter: Remove from heat and stir in 1 tablespoon of butter (or more if desired). Stir until fully melted.
Whisk Thoroughly: Mix well for at least a minute to get a creamy consistency with no floating butter chunks.
Adjust Taste: Add honey for sweetness, or more butter for a richer texture.
Serve and Drink: Drink while warm for best results. Do not let it cool, as separation will occur.
Do not prepare ahead of time. Always make fresh and consume immediately.
Works best on an empty stomach, especially in the morning.
For sensitive stomachs, try half the butter or add extra water.
Optional variations include cinnamon, cardamom, vanilla, coconut oil, or chamomile tea.
Ghee can be used as a substitute for butter if lactose-intolerant.
