Hot Lemon Balm Tea for Weight Loss
- 2 tbsp fresh lemon balm or 1 tbsp dried
- 1 cup hot water not boiling
- 1 tsp honey optional
- 1/2 lemon juiced
- Pinch of cinnamon
Cold Lemon Balm Infused Water
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon balm leaves
- 1 sliced cucumber
- 32 oz water
- Ice optional
Optional Additions (for variation)
- 1 tsp green tea
- 1/2 tsp fresh grated ginger
For Hot Tea Version
Add lemon balm to a mug.
Slowly pour hot (not boiling) water over the leaves.
Cover and steep for about 6 minutes.
Strain out the leaves.
Add honey, lemon juice, and a pinch of cinnamon.
Stir well and enjoy 30 minutes before meals.
For Cold Infused Water Version
Lightly crush lemon balm leaves in a pitcher.
Add sliced cucumber and fill with water.
Refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
Serve over ice, strained or unstrained.
Beginner Version (Simple Hot Tea)
Upgraded Hot Tea Version
Steep 1 tsp green tea in hot water for 3 minutes.
Add 1 tbsp dried lemon balm + 1/2 tsp grated ginger.
Steep for another 5 minutes, strain, and enjoy.
