- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon balm leaves or 1 tablespoon dried
- 2 cups hot water about 180°F / 82°C, not boiling
- 1 slice fresh lemon optional
- 1 teaspoon honey optional
Place fresh or dried lemon balm leaves in a teapot or large mug.
Heat water to about 180°F (not boiling) and pour over the leaves.
Let the tea steep for 5–7 minutes.
Strain out the leaves.
Add lemon slice or honey if desired.
Drink 1 cup in the morning and another 30 minutes before dinner.
For best results, drink consistently for at least 2–3 weeks.
