- 4 –5 cups water
- 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves more if stronger flavor desired
- 2 cups ripe honeydew melon cubed
- 2 –3 tbsp honey or sugar to taste
- Ice cubes
- Extra mint sprigs for garnish
Prep Mint: Wash the mint leaves thoroughly. Lightly bruise them with the back of a spoon to release essential oils.
Make Mint Tea Base: Boil 2 cups of water, then remove from heat. Add mint leaves and steep for 8–10 minutes.
Prepare Honeydew: Blend honeydew cubes with 1/2 cup water until smooth. Optional: Strain for a finer texture.
Combine: Mix mint tea, honeydew puree, and remaining 2 cups cold water. Add honey while still warm to dissolve.
Chill: Refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
Serve: Pour over ice, garnish with fresh mint sprigs.
Use ripe honeydew for maximum flavor and sweetness.
