Equipment

  • Frying pan or air fryer
  • Mixing bowl
  • Spoon or brush
  • Measuring spoons

Ingredients

For the honey sriracha salmon:

  • 4 salmon fillets 6 oz each
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp sriracha sauce
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the bowls:

  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 cucumber diced
  • 1 avocado sliced
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 2 green onions chopped
  • Sesame seeds for topping

Instructions

  • Make the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together honey, sriracha, soy sauce, and garlic powder. Adjust for more spice or sweetness as preferred.
  • Cook the Salmon: Season salmon fillets with salt and pepper. Heat a pan over medium-high heat with a little oil. Cook salmon skin-side down for 4–5 minutes. Flip and brush with half of the sauce. Cook for another 3–4 minutes.
  • Glaze: Brush remaining sauce over salmon and let it caramelize for 30 seconds. Remove from heat.
  • Assemble Bowls: Divide cooked rice among four bowls. Top with glazed salmon, cucumber, avocado, carrots, green onions, and sesame seeds. Serve warm.

Notes

You can also cook the salmon in an air fryer: Preheat to 400°F, cook for 7 minutes, brush with sauce, then cook 2–3 more minutes.
Make salmon bites by cubing the fish before cooking — great for meal prep or appetizers.
Try adding lime juice, ginger, or swap honey with maple syrup for a different flavor twist.
