For the honey sriracha salmon:
- 4 salmon fillets 6 oz each
- 3 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp sriracha sauce
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
For the bowls:
- 2 cups cooked rice
- 1 cucumber diced
- 1 avocado sliced
- 1 cup shredded carrots
- 2 green onions chopped
- Sesame seeds for topping
Make the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together honey, sriracha, soy sauce, and garlic powder. Adjust for more spice or sweetness as preferred.
Cook the Salmon: Season salmon fillets with salt and pepper. Heat a pan over medium-high heat with a little oil. Cook salmon skin-side down for 4–5 minutes. Flip and brush with half of the sauce. Cook for another 3–4 minutes.
Glaze: Brush remaining sauce over salmon and let it caramelize for 30 seconds. Remove from heat.
Assemble Bowls: Divide cooked rice among four bowls. Top with glazed salmon, cucumber, avocado, carrots, green onions, and sesame seeds. Serve warm.
You can also cook the salmon in an air fryer: Preheat to 400°F, cook for 7 minutes, brush with sauce, then cook 2–3 more minutes.
Make salmon bites by cubing the fish before cooking — great for meal prep or appetizers.
Try adding lime juice, ginger, or swap honey with maple syrup for a different flavor twist.
