Ingredients

  • 1 pound broccoli florets, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
  • 2 tablespoons superfine almond flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  • Thoroughly wash and pat dry the broccoli florets to ensure maximum crispness.
  • In a large mixing bowl, toss the broccoli florets with olive oil until evenly coated.
  • In a separate small bowl, whisk together the nutritional yeast, almond flour, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until uniform.
  • Sprinkle the dry protein coating over the broccoli and toss vigorously to adhere the mixture to the florets.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius).
  • Arrange the broccoli in the air fryer basket in a single layer to ensure proper air circulation.
  • Cook for 8 to 10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time, until the broccoli is tender and the edges are charred and crispy.
