Ground Beef Hot Honey Bowl

Ingredients

  • 1 lb 90% lean ground beef
  • 2 cups cooked white jasmine rice
  • 1/4 cup hone y
  • 1 tablespoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic , minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 cups broccoli florets, steamed
  • 2 green onions , sliced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, whisk together honey, crushed red pepper flakes, soy sauce, and sesame oil to create the hot honey glaze.
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned and fully cooked, breaking it into small crumbles.
  • Drain any excess fat from the skillet.
  • Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the beef and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Pour the hot honey glaze over the beef and stir to coat evenly.
  • Simmer the mixture for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and glazes the meat.
  • Divide the cooked rice and steamed broccoli into four bowls.
  • Top each bowl with the hot honey beef mixture.
  • Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
