Ingredients
  

For the chicken filling

  • 2 cups shredded cooked chicken Use leftover chicken for quick prep
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise Can substitute with Greek yogurt or sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce Adjust to taste for milder or spicier options
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese Cheddar or pepper jack recommended, mozzarella can be used for a milder taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro Fresh herbs can enhance flavor
  • Salt and pepper To taste

For the buns

  • 1 package slider buns Can also use small bread rolls
  • Butter For brushing
  • Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, additional hot sauce

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a bowl, combine the shredded chicken, mayonnaise, hot sauce, cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, cilantro, salt, and pepper. Mix well until combined.

Assembly

  • Slice the slider buns in half and place the bottom halves on a baking sheet.
  • Spoon the chicken mixture onto each bun half generously.
  • Top with the other half of the bun and brush the tops with melted butter.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the buns are golden and the cheese is melted.
  • Remove from the oven, add optional toppings if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

To store leftovers, place them in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days, or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat in the oven or microwave.
