Ingredients

  • 2 cups low -fat cottage cheese
  • 4 ounces cold -smoked salmon, chopped into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 medium ripe avocado, pitted and diced
  • 2 tablespoons red onion, finely minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chives, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, freshly cracked
  • 1 teaspoon everything bagel seasoning

Instructions

  • Place the cottage cheese in a chilled mixing bowl and spread it slightly with a spoon.
  • Add the chopped smoked salmon, diced avocado, and minced red onion to the bowl.
  • Drizzle the lemon juice over the mixture to provide acidity and prevent avocado oxidation.
  • Add the fresh dill, chives, and cracked black pepper.
  • Gently fold the ingredients together using a silicone spatula until evenly distributed, being careful not to over-mix or mash the avocado.
  • Transfer the salad to serving bowls and finish by sprinkling everything bagel seasoning over the top.
  • Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to 2 hours.
